New Stuff..

I started painting my Battlestandartbearer for my 28mm High Elves army. Also the hero is nearly done just missing his shield arm.

Real life takes my breath at the moment. Marriage, job and a pregnant woman need a lot of time to care for. I also had to abandon my painting room for the coming child so in the next three months there will be not so much updates here. But anyway I found the time, or took it :), and begun painting the champ of my White Lions. Here are the first WIPs, also a WIP Swordmaster is shown.

For the meanwhile ... 28mm DBA 1x3 Scutarii

Something for the meanwhile. Ancient Spanish Scutarii from Gripping Beast. Very bad sculpts and horror to paint. Especially the faces are very challenging. But... I did it :) Weapons will be added later!

Close up shields. All shields are handpainted! With the one left and the middle I am very pleased!

28mm High Elf Swordmasters of Hoeth progress

I have completed some more GW swordmasters. It will be a regiment of 15 so nearly half is done now.

Very good design those guys are a pleasure to paint. Not so much gems i need 3 hours to get one done.

28mm DBA Pikemen stands...

Nothing spectacular but a little progress. The first two DBA stands for the first Impetus pikemen stand.

28mm Cretan archers and Agrianians for DBA & Impetus

Over the easter days I have found the time to read the Impetus rulebook. Nice stuff and some good ideas.

I decided to start an army - of course successors :) But which one I am not sure. So I begun painting stands that I can use for different successors and for my favourite game DBA too.

Units every army needs are skirmishers. I took a look in my glass cabinet and found two stands of Cretans in my 28mm DBA Seleucid army. I found also two stand of Greek Javeliners, half painted.

Okay got the basics and go!

Here they are, shields will be added in the future!

 In the background the older stands, in front the new stands. They build 4x2 Ps for DBA and 2 units of Cretan archers in Impetus!

 And the Agrianians in the front. They count in DBA as 2x2 Ps too. And some more pics...
