The thing from the swamp...

Yesterday i bought a turtle toy kid in order to use it as behemoth or beast for my Hordes of the things armies. The turtle is from Schleich and costs me 4,99€. The result without any brushstroke on the model:

As you can see i have only added some swamp grasses, slobber and blood effects to the figure!

For upgrade i could make the model looking more wet as though the turtle came fresh out of the swamp. As paint job i could paint the claws, eyes and beak. What do you think? And for the next time blood+ slobber should flow more natural than too distand like shown on the pic!

Summing up its a nice, cheap chance for adding special monsters to your army and so award more eye candy!

Receycling II

Aus der Kategorie "Receycling" zeige ich den recycelten Old Glory Kriegselefanten. Ergänzt zum Originalmodell habe ich zwei Wargames Foundry Figuren, die die Elephant Escort darstellen sollen, sowie vier Crusader Miniatures Schilde. Basiert auf 60x80cm.

Receycling I

Die Kategorie "Receycling" behandelt Miniaturen die ich günstig gekauft habe und die grausam bemalt waren. Die Miniatur wird neu bemalt, umgebaut, umgebased.

Das erste Modell dieser Reihe ist das Seleucid Elephant von Old Glory Miniatures 28mm. Ich habe ihn über Ebay für ca. 10 € von Jeff Jonas (ancientbattles.com) erstanden. Als ich ihn in der Hand hielt, fehlten die Hörner,Schilde und die Speere. Die Miniatur war schlecht bemalt und kaum entgratet:
