For the meanwhile ... 28mm DBA 1x3 Scutarii

Something for the meanwhile. Ancient Spanish Scutarii from Gripping Beast. Very bad sculpts and horror to paint. Especially the faces are very challenging. But... I did it :) Weapons will be added later!

Close up shields. All shields are handpainted! With the one left and the middle I am very pleased!

DBMM 15mm in the future?

Yesterday on the "Advents DBA 2010" at Amstetten we talked about DBMM. I don't know how or why but i am a little bit keen on having a DBMM army. It was always a dream of my and i checked my tin mountain today. For a 15mm 100 AP DBMM Later Carthaginian Army i have most figs! The missing figs would be a nice christmas present for me :) ! Maybe i will make a DBMM 100 AP army in the future...

So here is the masterplan:

On the Workbench

Today i had the first time the chance to paint since three or four days. I painted some 15mm Thracians, 28 mm Greek skirmishers and rebased some older Numidian light horse which still need some spears, while the Greeks need some shields.

Sorry the picture is a little bit fuzzy but i hope you can realise what is shown. I am too tired now to make a new one. The picture shows the current status of these bases. If they are painted i will have 15mm Thracian Auxilia and Psiloi base, a 28mm Light Horse, a 28mm Aux (both miniatures in the middle) and a 28mm Psiloi(on the left).

The Thracians are from Xyston, Greeks by Wargames Foundry and the Numidians are from Gripping Beast.

DBA Karthager Armee 15mm

Schon im März 2010 habe ich diese DBA Späte Karthager Armee 15mm fertiggestellt.

Zunächst der Kern der Armee: Die Punischen Elemente bestehend aus 1x3 Cv (Gen), 1x3 Cav, 2x3 Sp (Lybier) und 1x3 Sp (Afrikaner):

Der Rest der Armee besteht aus Söldnern, die von den Karthagern im Kampf gegen Rom angeheuert wurden. Beginnend mit den Elementen der antiken Spanier 1x4 Aux, 1x2 Ps, sowie einem Afrikanischen Kriegslephanten mit Escorte:

Gefolgt von den numidischen Söldnern: 2x Lh und einem Element Psiloi:

Und zum Schluss die Kriegerbanden Galliens: 3x3 Wb:

Abschließend noch das Lager Element:

Sämtliche Figuren von Corvus Belli im Maßstab 15mm.

DBA 25mm Later Carthaginian II/32

The current status of my DBA 25mm Later Carthaginian II/32 and what figs i have and don't have.

The army consists of 1x3 Cv (Gen), 1x3 Cav, 3x3 Sp (Punic spears), 3x3 Wb (Ligurians), 2xEl, 2x2 Lh (Numidians) and 2x2 Ps (Numidians)!

My plan is to get an all option army. Shown are the miniatures i have exculding the Punic cavalry. I am not sure which manufacturer i will use. Any ideas?

The goal is to get this figs done in 2013! So, stay tuned and follow the progress!

DBA Karthager

Meine DBA Späte Karthager Armee. Modelle von Corvus Belli 15mm.

Es fehlt noch das Generals Element, ein Element Reiterei und der fertige Elephant.

Die Monster der Karthager

Zu jeder karthagischen Armee gehören natürlich Elefanten. Allein schon aufgrund des Größenunterschiedes und der Dimension dieser Kampfmaschinen musste ich zumindest ein Element aufnehmen. Aus der CB Armeebox hatte ich zwei zur Verfügung. Beide jedoch in derselben Pose. Meiner Meinung nach ziemlich statisch und langweilig. Aus diesem Grund habe ich meinen Elefant etwas gepimpt. Ich hoffe er gefällt :)

DBA Karthager 15mm

Nebenbei sitze ich zur Zeit an der Bemalung einer 15mm karthager Truppe. Figuren von Corvus Belli. Fertig sind davon 2xPS, 1xLR, 2xSP und 1xWB.
