First unicorn stand WIP

First stanbd nearly done. Those models are very easy and fast to paint. Very funny and a nice variety from my High Elves.

On a blog long time ago...

.. Yeah I have time to post. Not time to paint but to post.
I was always looking for unicorn modes for my HotT armies. Different poses, corret scale, not too expensive.
My favorite unicorn models came from Otherworld. Very nice poses, but the price??? WTF? Are they made out of gold? So nothing for me.

For two weeks I visited our local supermarket and found very nice horse models made of plastic. 10 models for 5€. Nice deal I thought.

Giving them horn peaks made of greenstuff and priming them would look excellent like unicorn I thought.

 And the primed stuff...

For scale comparison a GW Rider, Hero and Spear elf stand...

 

I think they fit perfect. You can also see a god stand for my HotT Elf army. Here's the WIP...

My best painted miniature ever...

... is my daughter JANA SOPHIE. Born on August the 18th.

Look at those brilliant skin tones. They are fantastic. The whole miniature is a beauty.

I think she will serve as giant in my armies :)

Silverhelm reinforcement

I finished a second rider for my Silverhelm unit. The head is from the Lion chariot set.

I gave the brading another colour. What do you think? Which one fits better?

The base is still WIP!!! Stay tuned what it will look like :)

New pics of the Silverhelm

I made some new pics including a horse. The fig is not glued because I will change the horse's barding colour. But I will use the chariot horses as mount because I like the very dynamic pose of those. Okay they are not heavy barded but it's enough barding for me to play them as barded.

28mm High Elves WIP Silverhelm rider painted...

This weekend I begun painting my first Siverhelm. Here' the result:

A lot of gold and armour. Very exhausting to paint but I am very pleased with the result.

I will use 6 Silverhelms inclunding musician in my 1250 points army

Bolt Thrower finally done

Today I have finished my Bolt thrower... finally. It was a hard piece of work.The crew members were  some time ago. Here is the result.
