15mm HotT Behemoth WIP

The last time i was looking for a second behemoth model for my 15mm HotT Goblin army. I checked different homepages but could not decide for some model. Accidentally i took a look in miniature bargain bin and found this one:

It is the "Incredible Hulk" 28mm from Heroclix! That guy seemed perfect :) I compared him with 15mm scale of the gobbos and started paintig! Here are the WIP pics:

I think that miniature will be the perfect add-on for my army!

15mm HotT Goblin army

Hi folks,

i am planning a 15mm Goblin army consisting of the following elements:

1x magician
2x behemoth
1x lurker
5x horde
2x beast

I took a look in my figure box and found the following miniatures for the current WIP army pic!

Left the toad is the magician, in the background the behemoth bases, in front the hordes. Not shown are the beasts and one behemoth - i don't have the figures at the moment. At the right the lurker element.

Do you agree with the list? Punch (behemoth) and wall elements (hordes) flavoured with a magician?

And the first four painted figs:

Tutorial - How i make my rocks

In this tutorial i will show how i make my rocks and which things you will need in order to try it yourself.

Things you need:

1. bases
2. modeling mass (air aging)
3. dental technican instrument
4. water
5. a small schist rock
6. styrofoam
7. woodglue
8. Static gras
9. GW Colours Scorched Brown & Bleached Bone
10. GW Colours Codex Grey & Fortress Grey (not shown on the picture)
11. MiniNatur gras & flowers (Summer, Spring, Autumn in all sizes, Flowers are "Blumen (violett)" MINA_998-24S)
12. Vallejo Sierra Calcinado pigments
13. Some bushes
14. Sand

Step One

Glue the styrofoam in the position you want on the base and use all styrofoam garbage you have from cutting put the styrofoam piece.

Step Two

Press the modeling mass on the styrofoam and create the rock relief you know from my basemaking tutorial. I mean take the schist rock and press it in the modeling mass. After drying you have to sand the rocks and the base.

Step Three

Then paint it in your colour choice - i took Codex and Fortress Grey. Also paint the base. Next is the colour base and rock with pigments. I used Vallejo Sierra Calcinado.

Step Four

Now we make the rocks "alive". Take the woodglue and bring on some grass, flowers and bushes. Voilá we are ready.

I hope this was helpful. If you have any questions or think that something is not detailed enough please feel free to contact me.
